About
Hello, My name is Allen Parks, but my friends and students call me Arun. I started Covert Metaphor because I wanted to create an online community and resource for new students of conversational hypnosis, metaphor, and other techniques of seduction. These techniques are all about people, so I feel we can all benefit immensely by collaborating together and telling each our successes, as well as our failures.
I’m new to Covert Hypnosis and NLP, but not Hypnosis. Most of my background is in Yoga, Meditation, Chi Gung, and Western Magic. I have dedicated myself to helping others strip themselves of all the layers of limiting beliefs they have accepted, stop living a lie, and find their true core so they can live exactly how they see fit.
I hope to teach persuasion techniques as well as learn from others by putting myself out there and taking a chance.
If you sell quality NLP, Covert & Conversational Hypnosis, and Persuasion courses online, please contact me. I am currently seeking worthwhile products to promote.

Hi Allen
I am very keen on learning indirect suggestion, anchoring, hypnosis and persuasion in conversational and every day circumstances.
I notice from the above that you probably receive a number of products from people selling material on these subjects and in return you advertise their products on this site.
As a consequence I find it difficult to understand which ones you genuinely believe are the best since you obviously cannot criticise any of these products on here. Can you please recommend to me which products you think are the best?
Many thanks
Dave
Hi David,
It really all depends what you’re after. Honestly, a lot of products out there are a waste of money. They regurgitate the same information and repackage it.
Most of my favorite products on persuasion and conversational hypnosis I have no affiliation with.
If your goals are directed more towards persuasion and daily social interactions I highly recommend Marc Hogan and his S.T.E.A.L.T.H.™ Influence & Sales Mastery 8 DVD Set. He is in the UK, but ships just about anywhere. This is some of the best hands-on instruction I’ve seen anywhere. The DVDs may seem expensive ($394), but they’re worth it. There isn’t any filler and they cover just about all you’ll ever need. It’s hard to really use this stuff until you actually see and hear it, then go out and try to apply it.
Marc Hogan’s site is http://www.persuasion-skills.co.uk. I am not affiliated with Marc Hogan in any way, but I have no problem recommending this product. If he had an affiliate program, I’d be the first to join.
The next two great must-have resources are books. The first book is Advanced Language Patterns Mastery by Larry McLauchlin which you can get online as a PDF for $24.95. This book seems relatively unknown in the persuasion “scene”, but is well respected in NLP circles. By doing the exercises regularly in the book, you will begin to unconsciously use those patterns effectively. It may look like a foreign language at first, but it begins to click after some practice. If you’re not familiar with NLP concepts, you may want to read an intro first before you delve into this one.
You can find it at http://www.nlpandhypnosis.com. I am not affiliated with this site as well.
The last book is an inexpensive, but very useful book to have. It covers a lot of material for such a small book. The book is called Power Persuasion by David R. Barron and Danek S. Kaus. You can order it off Amazon.com or get it off of David Barron’s site. David Barron has many other persuasion products, and his site is a very good resource, but I’m not all that familiar with his core products.
Kevin Hogan has some great books, DVDs, and courses, but in my opinion, and I am sure some will disagree, I wouldn’t begin to look at his stuff until you have a good foundation. He covers a lot of psychology, but it sounds more like you just want to get out there and start doing it.
Feel free to ask more questions.
Regards,
Allen Parks
That’s Awesome! Thanks for the advice. Does Marc Hogan cover misdirection in his material?
I notice you also say he is based in UK. Do you know if he runs seminars? I live in London and I’ve already done an NLP course but I’d be very keen to get involved in a course that specialises in the conversational, covert approach. Do you know if he or anyone else of value does such a thing?
Thanks again, you’ve been a great help
Dave
Oops. should have checked the site before asking that question. i see he does do seminars. But speaking of which can you recommend any seminars if you know of any? particularly practical, hands on type stuff.
Thanks again
Dave
